Our Mission

Tesseract IRC was initially founded between 2017 and 2018 as TesseractNet by an IRC Chatter called LokiIsAGod along with a few of his friends. The idea was to create a place to hang out and share ideas while just chilling and having fun. Sadly, due to personal issues IRL, the network faded into little more than a memory.

CipherX came on board during the initial run of Tesseract and became friends with the rest of the crew. Having been an admin for other IRC networks in the past, he helped maintain things as best he could but, unfortunately, was unable to prevent its demise. However, recently, he decided he wasn't willing to just let Tesseract remain dead. Together with a few others from the original crew, Tesseract has been revived.

We believe in providing a fast, secure, and decentralized communication platform where communities can thrive without the overreach of massive corporate social media networks. We understand IRC isn't as popular as it once was, largely due to mass social media such as Facebook, but we will remain until the last of us has had enough and throws in the proverbial towel. That is our mission.

We are not hosted on a home-based system but on a high-end remote system that utilizes optimized routing software and standard TLS encryption to ensure your identity stays safe and your connections stay stable and secure.

You can connect to Tesseract IRC using any standard IRC client such as HexChat, mIRC, or Irssi. We recommend using an SSL/TLS connection for maximum security.
